WHY STUDY THE BIBLE?
Most of us
find it a challenge just to carve out time for devotions, let alone Bible study. We manage to fill our waking hours with everything necessary to maintain our work schedule, care for ourselves and for those in our charge. And if we identify free time in our busy schedules, we are quick to fill it up with our activity of choice. TV. Naps. Reading. More TV. Snacking. Online games. Social media. You fill in the blank . . .
WHAT IF . . . we began to realize how studying God’s Word actually benefits us and changes us from the inside out? And we became excited as we saw the treasure that lies inside the pages of our Bible? What if we were given the Bible study tools that would open our eyes to discover for ourselves what God’s Word tells us?
is waiting for you as you begin to study God’s Word with inductive eyes. Studying inductively means you’re not relying on an author’s Bible study book, nor a Bible study leader – though they too are good ways to learn to know God from Scripture.
The inductive Bible study method is simply doing your own independent, firsthand study. We’ll give you the Bible study tools to equip you. Inductive Bible study involves three steps:
What does it say?
What does it mean?
How do I respond?
